Founder and Lead Educator
Leona Peters is the founder and lead educator of Heavenly Dove
Academy. She has several years of experience in public education
as both a classroom teacher and lead teacher. Her passion is
creating meaningful learning experiences that help children grow
academically, strengthen their faith, and discover their
God-given purpose.

tutoring, and learning support for students in grades K–6.
Individual class grade levels may vary, so families should review
the class description or schedule an educational consultation.
Yes. Families can select the classes that best fit their child’s
learning needs and family schedule rather than registering for
every available class.
Selected tutoring, consultations, assessments, and enrichment
services may be available online or in person. Availability
depends on the service and current schedule.
The consultation allows us to discuss your child’s strengths,
learning needs, goals, class options, and scheduling preferences.

We teach apologetics to help students understand what they believe, why they believe it, and how to explain their faith with confidence and kindness. A strong biblical foundation prepares children to ask thoughtful questions, evaluate different viewpoints, and remain grounded in their faith as they grow.

Yes. Available services may include learning assessments,
achievement testing, homeschool evaluations, and educational
consultations. The appropriate option depends on the family’s needs.
Approved services may be eligible for Step Up For Students direct
pay when available. Families should confirm that their selected
service is eligible before completing registration.
Class sizes are intentionally kept small to support meaningful
instruction and student participation. Some classes may be limited
to only five students.
